Q&A

What’s the best thing about being a mama in this industry?

The best thing: I  have new found love of writing songs about my kids or through their eyes.

What’s your greatest challenge?

Convincing my kids I have a real job, especially during summer break:)

What piece of advice do you have for mothers + future mothers trying to navigate a career in the music industry?

When I moved from NYC to Kansas City, I took a break from the music biz to be a mom. My kids were 2 and 5 at the time, and it was the best thing for our family. I feel blessed to have those younger years with them. Once both of my girls were in school and Covid was over, I went back to work full force. The best piece of advice I can offer is to never give up and network daily. Also, travel as much as you can to LA and Nashville.

Share your favorite inspirational quote or song lyric here.

"Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do, than by the ones you did do. So, throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain

Please tell us something about yourself that isn't music or parenting related!

I love the beach. I'm also a big fan of eating well and exercising.

Anything else we should know or that you want to share?

The theatrical release of "A Tooth Fairy Tale" was on ay 2nd -- my song is featured in this film.
